We are changing the way private companies fundraise by providing best-in-class equity management solutions. We’re passionate about what we do and build products that solve real problems, create clear paths to fundraising diligence, and get companies ready for acquisition or IPO, and beyond.
We have a bigger vision to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem that goes beyond solving equity management and includes supporting investors in managing their firm, portfolio companies and limited partners. We do this by streamlining reporting and risk management, and storing or automating financing documents.
We’re poised for scale. We’re growing rapidly from a team and revenue perspective and focused on scaling through strategic testing and learning. You’ll be launching our venture fund product while joining Boston’s 2021 Startup of the Year.
This is the first go-to-market hire dedicated to venture firms and the investor ecosystem, so you’ll be building on both your and our existing network and experience to grow Shoobx’s role with investors.
In this role you would
Identify VC firms that will benefit from the Shoobx offering for investors
Build relationships with investors and work with the sales team to demonstrate how Shoobx can help their portfolio companies
Develop partnerships with key stakeholders in the venture ecosystem: fund administrators, auditors, law firms, and other software providers
Attend, speak at, sponsor, and prioritize events (both ours and third-party) to identify opportunities and grow the universe of Shoobx evangelist
You don’t need to check all these boxes, but here are some things you might currently do or have done in the past:
Sold software or services to venture capital firms
Sold complex SAAS products or multiple product suites
Worked at a VC firm and have experience with how deals are done post -term sheet and the ways firms look at reporting performance data
Regularly keep up with news in the venture ecosystem through Twitter, newsletters like Axios pro rata and Fortune’s term sheet
Been an early go-to-market hire at a venture backed startup
Built a strong and valued network of investors in a previous role at a venture firm, software vendors, through hosting substack/podcast or otherwise
You’ve been described by others as:
