CLIENT SPOTLIGHT
THEMAGIC5
We caught up with THEMAGIC5 to learn more about them…
Tell us about your company. What problem are you trying to solve?
At THEMAGIC5 we deliver custom fitted Swimming Goggles. Normal swimming goggles leak, are uncomfortable, and create red rings around your eyes. They are also based on suction that forces your eye-balls out from your skull, which is not healthy. Every face is different and other swimming goggles are only one size fits all.
To get started, you download our app on your smartphone, scan yourself, and based on the scan, we make the worlds best swimming goggles and ship those directly to you.
How did your company get started?
THEMAGIC5 started from frustration with the existing products on the market. All our founders are either triathletes or swimmers, and we were just super frustrated over getting our swimming experience destroyed from poor goggles.
Based on that frustration, we came together. We knew technology was developing around scanning and customized production, but we also knew that the missing link was the actual perfect fit to the face.
Why is your team well positioned to solve the problem you’re tackling?
Our Optimal Fitting Technology (OPT) is the only technology in the world that is able to do this positioning. It is able to position other products as well as the swimming goggles, and we are working on several new products.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned along the way?
If you want to create something unique for each customer, you need to be super close and intimate with the customer. This is meant more metaphorically because we are an online brand, but that is the biggest learning and focus for us.
What resources do you rely on to help your company grow?
We rely on our customers, and we constantly focus on improving their swimming experience.
Anything else you’d like to share?
We have used Shoobx ever since we started the company and are super satisfied with the functionality. We are constantly surprised about the support we receive – even when we didn’t ask for it.
